    Underofficeraren Casey Ryback (Steven Seagal) existerar egensinnig kökschef ombord vid slagskeppetUSS&#;Missouri, dock vad endast fartygschefen (Patrick O'Neal) vet är för att Ryback existerar en tidigare kommandosoldat inom Navy SEALs. USS Missouri har identisk år deltagit i Gulfkriget och deltar i minnesceremonin vid Pearl Harbor, 50 år efter attacken inom närvaro från presidentGeorge H.W. Bush. Efter högtidligheterna kastar fartyget loss i gryningen för sin sista seglats innan denna avrustas inom Kalifornien.

    Under färden mot Kalifornien hamnar Ryback ofrivilligt i relaterat till händelser centrum då fartyget kapas av en gäng legosoldater ledda från den cyniskt desillusionerade CIA-agenten William Strannix (Tommy Lee Jones), liksom flygs in med ett större helikopter under förevändningen att artikel ett coverband samt cateringpersonal.     Under Siege is a action thriller film directed by Andrew Davis from a screenplay by J. F. Lawton. It stars Steven Seagal (who also produced the film), Tommy Lee Jones, Gary Busey, and Erika Eleniak. Seagal plays Casey Ryback, a former Navy SEAL, who must fend off a group of mercenaries after they commandeer the U.S. Navy battleship Missouri.[3]

    Released on October 9, , Under Siege was both a critical and commercial success, receiving two Academy Award nominations for sound production and grossing over $ million at the global box office.[4] It is often considered Steven Seagal's best film to date.[5] It was followed in by a sequel, Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, which was not as well received.
